Village Fete

What a wonderful day we had on 13th June.

The annual Sherfield on Loddon Village fete was blessed with gorgeous weather and fun activities for all the family to enjoy.

The event is made possible by all the amazing volunteers and we at St Leonard's were privileged to host the Tea & Cake tent

We were kept busy all day with hungry and thirsty customers.

Many cakes were donated by local cooks, for which we are very grateful.

These kind donations and time given freely by people is just a reflection of the amazing community that we are lucky to live in.

Thank you.

Songs of Praise

On a gloriously sunny morning, following the successful Sherfield Fete the day before, St Leonard’s once again brought the community together in the centre of the village for its
annual Songs of Praise service. The service was led by Revd Barbara Irving and attended by over 50 people.

We are very grateful to The White Hart for hosting the event in their
garden this year, and to Tadley Concert Brass for turning out in force to lead the singing.

Thanks also to everyone who joined us to sing some wonderful, familiar hymns – each introduced by a member of the church with some background facts about the hymn or its
author, but also with their own personal reflection on what the hymn means to them.

A voluntary collection taken after the service will be donated to St Michael’s Hospice for their Meerkat Team - a specialist service which provides pre and post bereavement support to children and young people who have a significant adult in their life with a limiting illness, or one who has died.  A very worthy and valued cause that we are proud to support.
